Almost every nation has its national alcoholic drink that has been produced since long ago and is still popular and widely used. While the society and the Parliament are still discussing the legalization of "Samanė" it has been legally produced at "Alita"for seven years already.  

„Samanė" of "Alita" was developed by combining the best traditions of Lithuanian national drink together with the experience of "Alita" and standards of quality. Samane made by the classical method is distilled twice that ensures the high quality of the beverage and its peculiar characteristics of taste. The acknowledgement - in 1998 "Samane" of "Alita" was certified as "The Yearly Lithuanian Product of 1998".

Nowadays several brands of "Samane" are already produced at "Alita". Next to the primarily released brand of 50% vol. some new brands like „Ąžuolinė samanė" and „Dzūkiška ruginukė" appeared.
