The practice of production of sparkling wines is much alike to that of champagne. The difference is that the natural secondary wine fermentation undergoes not in bottles but in hermetically closed vats.

The main feature that unifies both methods of champagne production is that a game of bubbles both in a bottle and in a huge vat originates during the natural fermentation encouraged by the addition of selected yeasts when the sugars turn into carbon dioxide.

AB „Alita" is the Lithuanian leader of sparkling wines produced by the method of natural fermentation.

Production of sparkling wines at AB „Alita"was started in 1980. More than 10 brands of this noble sparkling drink are produced according to the most advanced and modern technology.

Sparkling wine ALITA is the main wine produced at the Company in the biggest amount. The exclusive features of aroma and flavour of this wine have been developed by combining grape wines that are made especially for production of sparkling wines.
